Pits' has decided to carve Kane in a primitive style.

Primitive art is admired for its simplicity, sincerity and expressive power.

Kane has a sweet and innocent disposition.

Perhaps Pits wanted the viewer to see this narwhal as a juvenile.

Many narwhals carvings are presented as dueling males or mother and child duos.

This childlike narwhal is unconventional.

And unconventional is exactly the right description for Pits Qimirpik, too.
