Stunning Carved Motifs! Fantastic Movement!
It took a miracle for Esau to create STRIKE.
Esau drove his skidoo for two days in order to get this brilliant white stone from the quarry (near Igloolik)
His dangerous journey was fraught with obstacles like blizzards, white outs, roaming polar bears and broken ice.
Esau is one of my favourite carvers.
He is talented and innovative.
He has MAGIC in his hands.
It is very difficult to carve a Dancing bear as the piece must balance its body weight on one paw.
Strike is a 2 way bear who can Dance and Dive!
2 Way Dancing Bears, can balance on any of their paws or feet!
Strong and Athletic, Strike boasts a running Caribou on one side, and a wolf on the other.
This is Esau's SIGNATURE.
The matte finish of the white stone lends itself to these carved motifs.
This beautiful Sculpture will be a shining treasure in your collection!
