Reptiles and amphibians are not a common subject in Inuit carving.
This year I have acquired a frog, a snake and now a turtle!
It is fascinating to see the Inuit influence on these creatures.
Howard's stone is a magnificent dark, dark green polished with a flawless mirror finish.
Within the dark green colour are patches of lighter green which highlight some of his feet and the top of his shell.
This unexpected delightful turtle would be a cherished gift to an animal lover or conservationist friend.
Dale Ford is always carving "outside the box".
My clients are intrigued by his art.
