Masterpiece Sculpture! Museum quality Carving!
Cape Dorset artist Etelu Ashevak has presented us with this exquisitely carved Dancing bear *Willow*.
This is a unique carving.
Willow's tall and slim physique is intriguing..
This is not your average roly poly Teddy bear.
The narrow shoulders extend into the long slender neck which then transitions into a gorgeous head and face.
The muzzle is slightly more pointed than most bears.

The "slim" physique allows the energy of the piece to flow from nose to feet in a continuous fashion which gives the bear a sense of motion, even though it is standing still.
The deep dark green colour of the stone is delectible.
The colour creates mystery which makes Willow even more intriguing.
This colour is the perfect choice for Ashevak's perfect bear.
